 WPA) is introducing a new solution for permanent abandonment of wells. The
  objective is to deliver a more efficient\, safe and environmentally prefe
 rred method for abandonment. Well integrity requirements will be met by re
 establishing the cap rock formation and consequently preventing fluid migr
 ation from the reservoir. \n\nThe IWPA technology concept utilizes heat to
  melt all well elements and form a cross-sectional\, permanent barrier wit
 hin the cap rock formation. The barrier is a product from a gasless\, exot
 hermic reaction. The reaction components solidify into a synthetic igneous
  rock\, forming a low permeable bond to the host rock. Numerous tests have
  been performed on the technology in atmospheric and simulated well condit
 ions. In August 2016\, two pilot wells were performed in Alberta in co-ope
 ration with Centrica. The results of these pilot wells will be reviewed du
 ring the presentation.
