Kirk Harris

Bio

Kirk Harris is the founder and technical advisor for ThoroughBond LLC, which provides technical support and innovation for cementing and bond log interpretation. Prior to his current position, he was the global cementing advisor for Occidental Petroleum, Talisman Energy, and Repsol. Kirk has a total of thirty-eight years of cementing experience, many of those spent with Halliburton, where he worked as a cementing and research engineer. During his career with Halliburton, he also was the regional cementing advisor for Asia- Pacific, Australia, Europe, Africa, the Permian Basin, and the Gulf of Mexico.

Kirk holds several cementing patents, has authored several papers, and served on the AADE Houston chapter fluids committee. He hosts a monthly webinar on cement log evaluation, and his current projects include thru-tubing cement log interpretation, and the identification/remediation of bradenhead pressure. Kirk graduated from Purdue University with a degree in civil engineering.
