Wellbore Leakage TRM Workshop Agenda
June 28, 2016 – 8:30 – 4:00
Technology roadmaps (TRMs) are a tool used to identify knowledge and technology gaps that are barriers to achieving a desired future state, and to map out the research and development required to reach it.
The objective of this CSGM led TRM is to facilitate cost-effective and impactful improvements in wellbore integrity and to enhance our understanding of wellbore leakage by:
i) Identifying existing best practices and technology, and
ii) Identifying remaining knowledge and technology gaps and suggesting R&D to address them.
The intent of today’s workshop is to present the draft findings of the TRM and solicit feedback in all aspects related to wellbore leakage.
Agenda
8:30 – 9:00 – Light Breakfast (Coffee & Muffins)
9:00 – 9:15 – Introduction & Workshop Intent – Jay Williams
9:15 – 10:30 – Wellbore Leakage Impact on the Shallow Subsurface and Environment
10:30 – 11:00 – Break
11:00 – 12:00 – Split Session
A – Identification of Leakage Sources
B – Drilling and Completion Practices to Prevent Wellbore Leakage
12:00 – 1:00 – Lunch – Sandwich lunch will be provided
1:00 – 2:00 – Split session
A – Intervention Strategies to Increase Success of Wellbore Leakage repair
B – Abandonment Processes to Decrease Incidence and Magnitude of Wellbore Leakage
2:00 – 2:15 – Break
2:15 – 3:15 – Communication of Results
3:15 – 4:00 – Review, Acknowledgements and Wrap Up
Your role as a workshop participant is to objectively listen to each presenter and provide your views on the current state of knowledge and technology for that topic, any unaddressed knowledge and technology gaps that are barriers to a future state where there is no longer wellbore leakage issues, and suggestions on how to address those gaps with additional research and development, improved execution practices.
Thank you for your participation.
