Abstract:
One of our industries most significant challenges from a wellbore integrity standpoint is the unwanted flow of gas in the annulus or to surface after the well is completed. While conventional intervention techniques have had various degrees of success, it may require numerous attempts before controlling the flow which can be inefficient and costly.
This presentation will explore an innovative/evolutionary product initially developed for Water Shut Off, and the benefits of applying the mixture to combat surface casing vent flow and gas migration circumstances.
Magnum will show the effectiveness of the product as it has been applied to water shut off through two case studies. We will then explore how and why we believe this technology can be applied to Surface Casing Vent Flow and Gas Migration remediation.
